This is a video showing the steps to replace the front brake pads on a Mini Cooper S. The process is the same for the standard Coopers, too (the S models just have larger, vented discs). You may notice that the pads in the video aren't really in need of replacing since the work here is for demonstration purposes only.

So many things wrong being done in this video. Do us all a favor and remove this
Twister,
Watching the video, I saw things that were questionable, but may not affect the final job. Squirting brake fluid onto the pavement and the placement of the jack stand I would question. I've done a few brake jobs in the past, but I am not a professional nor have I been taught by someone with any skill in the trade.
I'm coming up on 40K on the original pads on my MINI and am starting to think through the process and what parts I want to replace the originals with (definitely pads that produce much less dust ) I want to know that the job I've done has been done correctly and have a great deal of respect for the knowledge and wisdom of many on this forum.
I believe that you can learn from mistakes as much you can from proper instruction. For educational purposes, what specifically did you see in the video that was wrong?
You are correct, we are replacing this video in our catalog and should have posted the new one when it is ready. Our apologies and thanks for the catch!
