Manic question

After speaking with my local manic tuner I was informed that stage 2 with wagner competition intercooler, catless DP, nm intake, turbo muffler delete and invidia q300 exhaust I would only net roughly 20-30 hp gains above stock. My question is, is this accurate? I'm currently running a jb+ which boasts the same gains. So after spending several thousand and doing a lot of upgrades I won't see much difference? This just doesn't seem right. If it is would I be better off just keeping the jb+ and saving the money for suspension work? Thanks in advanced for the help. Any manic dealers or people running it are welcome to chime in.

A stock S is about 180whp and manic 2 with DP will put you around 230whp and don't forget about the big jump in torque!

See now that sounds about right. They are 180whp not bhp?

They are a little unrated but 180 to the wheels is about the norm

I had the JB+ and while I liked it for what it is, I doubt that you are getting 20-30 hp from it. It's probably more like 10-15 hp.

You will notice an appreciable difference if you get the Manic tune. Night and day.

I always thought the 181hp stock figure was at the crank, not the wheels?

Anyway, even if it is "only" 20-30 hp, remember that's still ~20% gain, which is more than noticeable. Mighty Car Mods' rule of thumb is a minimum 10% gain is definitely noticeable. And just about everyone I've read about on here that did the JB+ to Manic switch noticed the difference even at Stage 1.

I don't know about anyone else but my car on the JB+ is significantly faster than stock... On the onramp to the highway where I used to hit 80 tops on the way up I now hit 100, and my last 0-60 run timed with my P3Cars gauge was (in the soaking wet) 5.5 seconds. I just feel like 230 on a Manic tune is very conservative...
