JCW trade in

Any good tools or resources for determining fair market value on trade in?
All the sites I've tried do not have a drop down for the factory JCW.

I'm not asking you for my value but I'm looking for resources to better determine fair market value on my 2012 JCW hardtop.

There's not a ton of used ones on lots now either, so it's hard to even determine based on listed sale price and guess at what they gave in trade.

I just don't want to leave too much on the table.

Typically, dealers have a database that they enter all the specs and condition of vehicles into and it does a search of what they're going for at auction, etc., which helps them determine a trade in value price on a vehicle. (My father is a GM of a dealership). I'd suggest going to truecar.com, cars.com, craigs list, auto trader, etc and look at what they're going for in your area. Do note, dealers will give you less than what the car is worth or going for in your area for private party sales as they will need to make money from it. They will look up the KBB value of it and probably offer that or less than that depending on the condition.

NADA - KBB - Edmunds.

those are the ones I use. NADA will be high, Edmunds low, but NADA will be closest to what the dealers calculate.

Trading in NEVER gives you the best deal. They have to take the car in at wholesale, which will be at least $2000 less than you can sell it for yourself.

Ebay complete listings and Cars .com are good to find what the bottom selling price or sometimes avg selling price.

One problem with using NADA and KBB is time factor from data collection to publication. By the time each one of those resources have extrapolated data for the month to publication, its old data. One reason why NCD's use daily auction prices as a guide for fair trade in. If they can purchase your trade at auction for less, not much incentive to give you more than that. If not particular about things such as color of car, and some options, the best time for buyer to broker a good deal is at the end of the month ( last 2-3 days ).

If you have a nice looking MINI, well maintained and decent CARFAX, try to sell yourself. That 06 you have looks pretty sweet.

No reference is perfect, but for we of the Interwebz, KBB, NADA and Edmunds are about as good as you can get for figger'in purposes.
