Im new here, and also new to the world of Mini's. I have an R56 that is going to need a whole new motor. Are there any reputable dealers that sell remanufactured long blocks for these cars? I found one on egmcartech.com, but I don't know anything about these guys. Anyone ever used them? Any other places I should be looking?

Seems like waymotorworks dot com is a trusted vendor here that might have what you need.

 

I've only read good things about Waymotorworks. Unfortunately, in this situation, the Mini dealer is less expensive than he is.

 

I would still contact Way...there may be alternatives. He would know and he is honest.

 

Unfortunately the prices recently went through the roof on them. So rebuilding the existing engine may now be cheaper.
We can get you a short block too, then rebuild your existing cylinder head.
