Forge BOV

Just installed a Forge BOV, bought lightly used. My question is this.....why does the Forge BOV make inconsistant bov sounds? It sounds great most of the time, and I really feel the difference always. But, at times, I get a full blowoff sound, at other times just a bit. Boost can be at the same level, engine at same RPM, same load, same gear change. Sometimes I get the full PSSSSHHHH sound that lasts, other times just a short little pshhh. I have no CEL, and she runs fine, no matter what the sound is. Just not a consistant sound. Maybe that's normal? Anyone?

Does the Forge BOV still allow the computer to slowly bleed off boost pressure when it wants to? From what I understand these cars like to let small amounts of pressure out to keep boost where the computer wants it, and depending on the circumstances the valve may or may not be closed completely during shifts, which will change how much of a sound you get regardless of vta or recirc. I know you said same load, boost, and so on, but there are still more factors that could lead to boost pressure bleed off during accel

Mister---Thanks. That's probably what is happening. I am not going to worry about it. The valve really makes a noticeable difference, no matter the intensity or length of the blowoff noise it makes. So many sensors, wires, and black boxes.....LOL.
