Missing my Mini

Well a month or so back and with 67000 miles my Mini's clutch crapped out. I am I think the 4th or 5th owner so I am not sure how she was driven before I got her. I limped home and parked her in the garage. Since then I have replaced the front door speakers and have been buying all my clutch parts as I get money. So far I have bought my dual mass flywheel for 430 dollars and I just ordered my clutch kit for 221 dollars last night. I still need to buy a few other little parts to complete my part list then I have to save up the cash, 400 dollars to get it all installed. My friend is a mechanic and said it may take up to 10 hours to fix it all. I am sure it will and am glad to a friend in the business. He has saved my *** on numerous occasions and done a lot of work on her for little money. I cant wait to get her fixed up and running again. I am just glad to have this forum to help keep me entertained and educated, it helps me get by until I can drive the Mini once again. Until then I just look at her in the garage and contemplate all the future upgrades etc. So thank you to all who post here and supply us with all the knowledge and education on our cars, you are all appreciated!

The forums can hold tons of info. Looks forward to you being back on the road in a MINI. Good luck on the fix.

When doing a clutch job, it's always a good idea to replace the rear end seal on the engine at the same time and also replace the throw-out bearing, flywheel bolts and pilot bearing. You should also replace the clutch release fork and the master/slave cylinders at the same time for added insurance. If you need any help with all the items to get for your clutch job let me know. Glad you have a friend that is able to help you out so that you can get your MINI back in working order.
