Coilover help!!!
Hey there everyone! Hope it's all a good day watching the Indy500! I wanted to ask what the best coilovers for the r56 are there. I currently only have 1k to spend but I am thinking about some Megan racing ones with the camber plates. Does anybody run those around here? And if so how do you like them? Also do they go low enough for stance? Just looking around thought of looking into the BC Coilovers as well but heard the ultra lows don't go low enough. I've been trying to do my research on Megan's but can't find much on how low they go and how they ride. Thanks for the help everyone!

This question has been asked a bunch of times in the Modifications:suspension section. Do some searching there.
Ask yourself what you are looking for (appearance, handling improvement, how critical is ride quality) and what is your planned use of your MINI (daily driver, autocross, track use).
Any current mods to suspension (none in your sig, other than wheels)?
Some guys say that the lower end coil overs ride harsh and don't last. Others have had good luck with them. Normally, you read more negative posts than positive, people don't tend to post good news.
More info from you will give better responses and more guidance.
Have fun,
Mike

Hey thanks for the quick response Mike, I do have a couple other handling mods on it such as adjustable control arms and sport springs. But I'm looking for a nice daily and something that I can autox. I think what I'm going to do is shoot in the dark and buy them due to having all the bells and whistles I want. I do think they'll go low enough for my likening until I buy nicer rims. Thanks again for the response Mike!

Not sure how tight to your budget you are, but there is a guy on the marketplace with a set of Ohlins for sale ($2100, I think). These are higher end components that several guys have given very good reviews on.
Good luck with your mods. Let us know how it works out.
