Hey all,

2012 Mini Cooper S 6spd

So I installed an NM short shifter last week on my car and I love it! however after about a week of use I've started hearing a "click" "click" noise everytime I change gears. Sort of reminds me of gated shifter noise which the Mini obviously doesn't have haha. I'm wondering if this is normal and a lot of other people with this adapter have this noise or if I need to put the car up on stands again and investigate. I'm thinking the adapter has come loose or something, let me know your thoughts.

I have this noise too. Its not every time I shift. But its there. I've had it installed for a little over a year and half. No issues.

 

Check the set screw.
