I had a cruise control installed last year and part of the install was the computer had to be updated.

I noticed I had lost a "cool" feature that was on the original computer factory setup. When I bought this little beauty from the original owner he did not even know it existed.

I'm talking about hitting the "unlock" button twice and the windows would roll down- I loved that

He also owned a '07 "Justa" convertible that he told me the the roof would fold down when he hit that button twice on the fob for that car.

Now, I can live without that feature-- I'm just more curious if anyone else has had a similar experience?

You can also code the car to roll the windows back up and close the sunroof.

Sort of, I used the BMWhat app and an OBDII adapter with my iPhone.

You can change several other options as well.

 

On later cars--at the very least on the 2012s--holding down the "open" button on the fob will open the windows.

 

My 2007 MC S does the window roll-down, as well. I wished it did the roll up, so I bought an OBD to USB adapter and tried the convoluted process of installing the BMW software to make changes. Either I'm too stupid or the software too complex, but I like the wireless adapter referenced above. It's available on Amazon for $65 plus $45 for the app. Seems reasonable to make custom changes to the car
