New addition to the stable

My wife's 08 Clubbie is up on stands with the head pulled to replace a burned valve. Luckily, we have other cars to keep the family mobile. Son is in the E21, I'm in the tii, and my wife went to the aging E46.

At breakfast this morning, an ad comes on TV about CPO BMW's. Out of the blue my wife says, "We should go look at a reliable driver." We had kicked the idea around when her Clubbie first fell ill, but had dropped the idea when I was able to keep the fleet rolling while also getting her car fixed up.

Fast-forward a few hours...
We have the E46 traded in and are driving home a CPO 2012 "High Class Grey" R56 hardtop. Not an S, but I held out and said we needed to get a manual transmission.

This all happened after I posted to the R56 forum instead of the R55 forum (where I normally am). In hindsight, I should have posted to the JCW forum, or possibly a Ferarri forum? Could have ended up with one of those?

Thanks,
It's one of those colors that changes in different light.
The little car does need something to make it 'pop'. We're thinking at least some center rally stripes. Silver or black.
Or maybe go with grey/black scheme. Could end up being a 'shades of grey' theme? Hmmm...handcuffs in the glovebox.

Nice color. If it was me, I would go with a colored stripe (blue between navy and royal), or maybe bonnet stripes with an accent stripe (black stripe with a bright blue 1/4" stripe on the edges instead of white). Having shades of gray would be very nice, but not give it any pop.

Just a thought. Maybe you like red better than blue (or any other color, for that matter).

Have fun,
Mike
