Do first and second gen MINIs have the same wheel size?

I found these on CL and I was wondering if they would fit my R56 MCS?

Yes, they should fit, however you may have to have the newer TPMS sensors installed so the TPMS light doesn't stay on.

Motor on!

One item will be an issue...
Most every gen1 used an indirect tpms, no in wheel sensors like gen2 cars...
Other issue is MOST GEN1 rims have 12 mm holes (changed for SOME gen1 cars, 2006+)...
Gen2 cars and VERY LATE GEN1 cars got 14mm holes...
I use gen2 rims on my gen1, no issues, some have done the reverse, but it MIGHT require drilling the holes larger...
If you look at the rims....the casting will have either 12mm or 14mm on it...
Black s lites...look good, but VERY heavy (were once popular for snow tires cause they are heavy, and were once cheap)...thinking you should check the dates on the tires...they become dangerous after about 6 years...with 10 being the outer limit if usefulness if stored right.

Those wheels are very heavy, in fact most folks refer to those as S Heavies. IIRC somthing like 21 pounds a wheel. If you want them, pull one of your lug bolts off your MINI & see if it fits in those rims.

I put a set on my R55,the TPMS type valve stem won't fit so I go without and put a piece of black tape over the tire light.

The holes in OEM wheels are large enough to handle either size wheel bolt.

Good info here. Thanks guys. I ended up passing on them. They were hand painted black and the finish was not great.

I mean, I already have black wheels, but I like this style better visually than mine.

I had ROTA RBs on my Miata and loved the look of those. They weren't super light either though.
