R56 Service Light Question

I did a search but did not find exactly what I was looking for...

I get the Mini on the stand icon when I start my car - it's lit up in red. I cycled through the maintenance items to see what it could be, and none are due. The closest one is the rear brakes, which say I have 1200 more miles to go until due.

Does anyone know what kind of service could be due? I am at 54k on a 2011 Justa.

Probably just a general inspection.

What is performed during a general inspection?

I looked at my manual and for the red car on lift it says:

Starter Failed or

Ignition Malfunctioning, Engine
restart only possible when brake
is depressed or

Lighting system failed. Low
beams/tail lamps and brake
lamps still operational. All other
lamps failed

None of those seem to be appropriate given there are no other warning lights and no problems or symptoms with the car. Thoughts?

The car is inspected. Generally.

They check the suspension bushings, check for any stored codes, look at the hoses and wires and such on the engine, and so on. Basically they give the car a once-over and see if there's anything it may need--or if there's anything they can sell you on.

Okay thanks. Maybe I will bring it into my local shop and have them take a gander.
