No DSC button ?

Hi there,

I have a 2008 Cooper (NON S) and there seems to be no way to turn off DSC (no DSC button or switch anywhere), does this mean that the car does not have DSC? is there any other way to turn off the traction control?

I would guess that your MINI does not have DSC. In North America we all do, may be different for you in South Africa.

If you have a R56 Gen 2 MINI, it will be down by the shiftier. In the USA we have the DCS ( traction ) button on the right , nothing in the middle and the sport button on the left. If you have the DCS it will says DCS or have a pic of the MINI with tread markes behind it and in S pattern.

Post up a pic near your shifter.

Looks like option 1. Has the 3 buttons but they have nothing on them and don't push in. Iv seen some coopers with a DSC switch next to the window switches but all I have is front and rear fog light switches.

Just another question while I'm at it, would I be able to retro fit a sport button ? Seen as there is then no DSC, would only tighten up steering and throttle response. Seem possible ?

Yea, you have a basic version like a MINI "One" in Europe. Never heard or seen a sport button or DSC retrofit. This would take some programming and the new switch , which I don't even know if its possible.

Thanks
