Really Confused?

So twice now I have posted questions on this forum. One asking if anyone has every dealt with universal fit mechman alternators and what it took to fit them, and another asking about paint matching with the redwood interior. I see SO many questions posted about really important stuff to really silly stuff, and most all have dozens of answers. But both of my posts have over 100 views, no answers, not a single one. I was hoping this community would atleast be helpful. But I guess not, thanks for the help, could have really used it. No worries, I will do it on my own and stick to my other forums.

I'm not one of the people who 'viewed' your posting but had I been one I wouldn't have made any comments because I have no answer to your questions and it appears no one else does either. If they had, I'm sure they would have said something.

It's not like the forum purposely refused to answer your questions.

Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out.

I had to google "mechman alternators" as I haven't heard of them before. Since they show no application for the MINI, you might want to contact them with your question.

If MINI doesn't offer paint to match your car, I suggest you contact a local body shop that should be able to mix as needed.

I generally do not respond to threads to merely say, "I don't know", so let this be an exception.

Since you've left for other forums, I guess it won't help, but I went and posted replies to your other threads. Since you seem to be more concerned with reply counts than actual useful information, you will probably appreciate them.

As far as paint goes, I haven't seen the dealer carry a paint stick for the interior trim, only exterior paint. If you ask your dealers parts department they may email MINI and ask them the color code and you can have a body shop mix it for you.

Another fine technique seldom used by rookies is to employ the search engine to see if there are already answers to the question at hand. That maybe would given a hint as to the existing knowledge/application level of your situation.

Folks read it...
and had noting to add....the more specific the question....the more reads before it might get a useful answer, if EVER!! You MIGHT be the first to ask or go down that particular road......it does happen...
here is something interesting!!

Guess we could hijack your thread....
Warning!!! The VID shows a f56 getting WASHED!! By some cute singing gals!!
South Korean four-member girl group Girl’s Day’s most recent video features the newest Mini Cooper S model. Known for their colorful and happy lyrics, the young pop band has released a summer song as part of their newest mixtape. It features awesome brass sessions, exciting shuffle rhythms and shows the girls having fun while washing the new hardtop made by BMW.

No.

There's your question answered, is it all you'd hoped for?

It's time to grow some common sense, they say you're either born with it or you're not.

I imagine the OP lad has moved on but the entertainment value of this thread just keeps growing. Something I've noticed for a long time on NAM, a general low tolerance level for a sense of humor. This just might be the breakthrough it needs.

Very true. I have to admit I also miss the controversy I ran into on other auto forums (the dirty cop gave me a ticket, etc.)

If a lot of people view your thread and nobody answers it's because it's a dumb question or doesn't pertain to the Mini. Even dumb questions like "how much air do you put in your tires" gets answered. Seeya!

Seems like all the folks who like the "lighter side" of car ownership have moved on...
The "give it to me NOW!! AND here is the list of stuff I will get mad if you mention it folks moved in....lol...
Let's keep it fun!! That is WHY folks drive mini's right? That funny grin you have after a drive....

This is the thread to complain about the lack of "correct" responses in the op's other two threads...

One of the dumbest thread is titled "what music do you listen in your Coop" something like that. I will make a thread "What is your favorite drink while driving your Cooper"

Naww...
If you want to start a war, do a " What do you Eat in you mini!!?"....
A crazy debate will occur about the volume of crumbs and the relative stickyness of them...
Then somebody will demand scientific studies of which crumbs are truly the most sticky as opposed to just the messiest.....
50% of folks will claim to never even have chewed gum in their car cause they want to "keep it forever".... And 25% will claim to have spare French fries under the seat....

Would you like 100 responses, like, "I read your post, but have no clue??"

No eating or drinking allowed in this one except once in a while my co-pilot nibbles on something. Since co-pilot is woman and I am man I remain silent. I did vacuum out a French fry once. Nastiest thing I carry are my golf clubs and bag trolley in the back seat which leaves a fine layer of dried mown grass from dragging it all thru the rough.
