R56 What is your gas mileage?

Ha ha, I missed nearly the first two years on my 2008 MCS myself, and I also registered on Fuelly.com. I don't remember how I found the site, probably read about it here on NAM.
I've logged over 62k miles on Fuelly and have averaged 32.0 mpg. I have logged a total of 82k miles total on the car.
I'll have to see how to friend you guys on Fuelly.

I can almost always squeeze into the low to mid-40s when driving 5 over on 55 & 70 mph roads/highways. It starts dropping when 5 over's not fast enough. I've posted this before, but my best tank was driving across Michigan's Upper Peninsula where the speed limit is 55. I made it from St. Ignace to Copper Harbor and back on a tank...632.5 miles, averaging 49 mpg. Nice summer days, 60 mph on cruise, windows and sunroof open, listening to music and enjoying the great views of Lake Superior.

Take a long drive on the freeway, somewhere relatively flat. Set your cruise control at 55. Don't stop any more than you absolutely have to, and don't go over 55 MPH. If you have a long enough trip, you should get over 45 MPG.
Or just decide you don't care about mileage and drive it like you stole it....

My' 08 Justa has gotten as high as 37, lowest 25 I think...I'm happy with her mpg overall, M-F commute is so varied, I'll fill up and think I did pretty good, then I'll enter the numbers in my GPS and it turns out I didn't do as well as I thought. Having to much fun with my MINI to even care, really!! 😀
We'll see what vacation time brings leaving for AZ next week, no twisters though!! 😢

My gf does about 22 miles each way to and from work, varies between highway and city and we tend to use her car on long weekend trips (I have an 06 WRX wagon... 18 mpg on average!) and her computer calculated average is anywhere from 32 to 34 mpg depending on the day I get to drive it lol. It's a 2012 MCS MT.

According to the car's mpg meter, my 2012 Base model with 41K miles has never averaged less than about 36mpg combined city/highway. I reset the mpg meter every tank, and I don't usually drive it real hard.
As a test, I once drove it from San Diego to LA to San Diego, very very easy, at about 65 mph, and got almost 45 mpg.
When I first got the car, I compared the car's mpg meter against actual fuel consumption, and found the car's meter showed higher mileage by a few mpg. I've noticed this on other cars too, but not by more than 1 mpg. I'm wondering if the difference is from fuel evaporation.

36.4mpg calculated over 75K miles. OBC reads about 1.5mpg above that.
Driving is heavily skewed towards long distance higher speed highway / interstate driving on cruise control. My average speed per OBC is around 49mph over 75K miles.
City driving is around 32mpg.
75-80mph Interstate is around 34mpg.
60-65mph is around 40mpg.
40-45mph can easily exceed 43mpg.
I primarily use 91 octane Shell, Texaco, Conoco, Chevron, Phillips 66
Tires are Yokohama YK580 205/50-16. They are slightly smaller than OEM. So mpg and OBC mph figures are likely off about 4pct. I use Garmin GPS speed for highway driving. Speedometer reads about 4mph faster than GPS at 75mph. Odometer seems to be off only about 2pct.
New spark plugs helped when I changed them at 60K.
I use about a half quart of oil between 5-6K mile oil changes.

I drive my MINI pretty hard (and when I say hard, I mean fun) and my commute is on the freeway Monday-Friday, for about 10 miles one way. I also drive around town a lot; never really slow down taking corners and I accelerate at lights pretty quickly just to hear my exhaust when I hit 3-4k rpms. I go five over the speed limit in town and about 80 on the freeway unless I hit traffic (which I often do) then it's between 60-75 mph.
With that in mind, my on board computer tells me I get 29.9 MPG. I have an '11 R56 JCW. When I still had my '07 MCS, I was averaging 31 MPG. I've never gotten better than either of those numbers with the way I drive :(

My 2011 R56S 6-manual is now getting 27.3 average. I do drive her hard, and I live in the mountains/twisties, so....when the dashed yellows come up on a straightaway, I pass as many slower cars as I can. I did notice a bit of a drop after the JB+ install, but that is just my heavy right foot, I think. Before the JB+, I was getting 28.2. The drop in MPG has still not wiped the smile from my face! I did manage to get over 36 on a trip from SoCal to NorCal on the 5 at a pretty steady 75 mph, but that was before the JB+. Even at 27.3, WAY better than any of my other rides, so I am VERY HAPPY!
