R56 What coil overs should I get?
KW V1's.....telling you....get the ST XTA, same company as KW. Difference with ST's are they're galvanized steel tubes. ST XTA are like KW V2's with camber plates....I'm telling you...you're making the wrong decision if you went with V1's or the H&Rs....

Secondly, the ST XTA's sound like a great option but I can't find them for an R56/57/58/59.....do they currently make them? Doesn't look like it.
Lastly, if the regular ST's and the KW V1's are the same then why wouldn't the ST's be the logical option for less money?
I can't speak from a performance perspective, but I rode in a R53 with the Megan Eurosports and they were significantly more compliant and comfortable than my stock R53 suspension. I know it doesn't exactly apply to the R56, but just figured I would give my opinion on the ride compliance and comfort of the Megans. I think with all they offer it's really quite a good deal.
I lived in Japan for almost 10 years so I got used to extremely stiff Japanese branded coilovers, so maybe my opinion is a bit skewed, but I thought the Megan Eurosports were pretty comfortable. So I went ahead and ordered them last night for my R53.

A bit confused here. You first say KW V1's and then you say you're making a mistake if you go with the V1's?

Talk to Battle or the suspension source (?) I think that's who they're called...
here is the link for the XTA

They look pretty sweet, and really don't care about SS versus galv steel, no one will see them... but it looks like a special order.

Yes, I believe all KW/ST for the mini are special order. But the turn around is quick. I special ordered my Vorshlag's for the mini with Ohlins. Turn around was four hours. Ordered on Tuesday and got the coilovers on Thursday and camber plates on Friday.
If you can get a comparable price on OutMotoring I would order from them. There is a discount code for NAM as well as their rewards points, ordering my Megans from them I got $50 off with the discount code and another $47 in rewards points. They also ship very fast and have great service.
Jason, thanks for the info, I'll keep it in mind. Regarding the NAM code where do you get that? Still getting used to the forum. I heard really good things about outmotoring, so they will be the first to place my call to find out about the XTAs.
Seems to me that you should save your money and study up on the whole suspension thing. You seem to be dying to spend big bucks based on what a couple of people say without really knowing what's going on underneath your Mini. Calm down... Take a breath. Your factory suspension isn't really that bad. Learn, read, study... Make informed decisions before throwing money that you might or might not really have. No rush...

I'm running Koni Yellows and TSW linear springs because I wanted to seriously slay The Dragon. Before I went that direction, I spent a long night studying the situation (along with all my mods). Don't forget the other parts of the down below. It's a whole that should be treated as such. Good luck!
