Timing Chain Deflection

Hello

I had my mini 2007 r56 stall on the highway a few years back and had it towed to a dealership.

THey originally asked for $8000 to get the car working again, but eventually did it for $2000 stating goodwill from the dealership.

They gave me the following notes (verbatim) after the repair:

Found engine would not turn. Checked CAM timing. found the timing is out. checked the vacuum pump. found the vacuum pump is siezed. Which caused the timing to jump. Found the rocker arms for the cylinder 3 exhaust valves were not contacting the cam. found the exhaust valves are bend. measured the timing chain deflection 71mm.

Do I have a case for asking for my money back due to the recent repairs on the timing chain. I am not sure if all the other damages can result from the timing chain issue. I never got a notice in the mail asking me to visit a dealership, i assume becaues they did the repair already.

Thanks in advance!
