BMS Clutch Pedal Stop

It seems to be a very popular little gadget, unfortunately my 2010 S does not have the little plug I can swap the thing with. I looked...for a looong time...with a bright drop light, with the clutch pedal right in my face. It's not there. I can see the track mark of the pedal arm where it made a dent in the black carpet...I followed that, no plastic bump stop. Stuck my fingers behind the carpet's, no bump stop. What I did find however, is that where the clutch pedal arm hits the carpet, the back side of it is padded with a fairly thick rubber...Did Mini replace the little bump stop with rubber lining behind the carpet? It must be. If that's the case, I can just stick a 3/4 inch piece of hard rubber right behind where the pedal hits and call it a mod. Any comments?

My 2010S had the little rubber plug. And the carpet did not go up where the plug was. It is higher up in the footwell than I expected based on previous cars.

Agreed on my 2010 S there was a rubber plug to pull out and put the new clutch stop in. The carpet does not go up to where the pedal meets the stop. I don't see why yours would have the carpet go up much higher unless it was previously modified that way?

Are you the original owner?

No, I am not the original owner and the carpet is stock, no modifications.
I'll have to look again but I can't imagine finding anything. The pedal arm is the only part of the pedal hitting the carpet, I do not see it hitting anything else higher up. Thanks for the reply.
