Headlight modification!

I've officially spent more on my MINI than I will ever get out of it, so it's time to modify it because I guess this means I'm keeping it for a while. I have standard headlight bulbs that came with the 2007 R56. I saw one of my coworkers' MINIs (2008) with the xenon projector headlights.

So I want this on mine. I know buying the headlights is going to be expensive, even secondhand. As far as installation and making it work I have no idea. So has anybody done this to theirs?

I retrofitted projectors and HID bulbs into my R56 halogen headlights. It was a couple hundred dollars in supplies and it required some trimming to the reflector, so going back to stock without purchasing new headlights was not an option. It was also completely custom, as far as I know there are no guides or how-to articles on what to do. The R56 was my second projector retrofit (first was my truck) so I kinda knew my way around what to do, although the mini was definitely more difficult!

I can post up some pictures and more info a little later if you're interested in it. I think there is a company that will do this for you too, but I don't have any info on that. I do know for sure that you cannot simply swap over stock r56 xenons into a car that came with halogens without reprogramming.
