hi people.

i'm new on forum and i'm from brazil, rio de janeiro, so pardon me for my poor english.

i just bought a mini cooper s (09) with jcw exaust that has 27k km or 17k miles.

i know there are hundreds of topics and videos about death rattle, but i cant seem to find a topic that shows a normal mini engine sound (r56 n14) or i cant identify what is the death rattle sound.

so please, can you guys watch my video bellow and tell me if my car has death rattle problem? it was the first startup of the day in the morning, 24C, after a night.


mini dealer here says that they dont know that mini has that factory problem, the only problem was the water pump of turbo and they did a recall for that.

also, the oil of my car smells some gasoline, i did some search and it´s normal if not in big quantity right? also, the brake light is on all the time, but i searched on topics and already bought a sensor in usa.

sorry for the big text, but it´s hard to find a good mechanic here for that car.
