R56 Mini lites
Mine meant a fuel sensor needed to be replaced. That was pretty early on. The next time, it came on, I wiped down my gas cap after a fill up and it went away after a couple trips. Now I wipe it down every time I fill up and haven't had a problem. You may need to take it in for a check.

Check Engine Lights. The left column (Lamp 1) is on your tachometer and speedometer face. Right column (Lamp 2) is on your Info Panel in the tachometer.
Mine came on when my High Pressure Fuel Pump failed (and ruined the catalytic converter).
As noted, it COULD just be a loose gas cap. Check that first, but get it checked!
