My '11 did this last week. Mind ***** for real. I switched them off and all is well. My rear hatch has a small rattle/knock sometimes, maybe the latch is intermittent or something?

 

I can't tell you how many times my hatch half-locks when I shut it. I've had to open and reclose it a couple times just to get it to latch.

this has happened to me a couple times

now that i have read this i can reproduce it evey time

double click unlock on the fob, open hatch, close hatch, open drivers door, close drivers door ... front map lights are on and only go off manually with the switchs

Just tried your combination and it was no-go on my '11 R56 MCS

 

^^ ditto. But that's crazy that it works on your car every time!

 

it just bgets stranger ...

after doing this 3x, it no longer happens
BUT
now my "open the boot" button on the fob is working, it has never worked until now!
