ABS Module (low mileage)

So, my 2008 MINI has been acting up. Took her to the dealer. Turns out that my ABS Module has malfunctioned. They can't give me a reason how it happened, it just happened.

I only have 50k miles on it (49,750). I'm guessing this isn't normal. It is not covered, so I will have to pay $1300 to get it fixed!

Should I be concerned that I got a bad MINI and other issues will come up? I make my last payment on it in a few weeks....

This is very rare. shoot me an email and let me know if you have ASC or DSC and I may have a used one that will save you a ton.

I had this problem

Search my posts for faulty DSC unit/ ABS module. I have a gen 1 MINI but have seen some similar posts on BMW forums for this problem...although still pretty rare.

$2700 replacement via dealer! New unit has to be programmed to work in car...not sure about the gen 2 MINI.
