Oil on Engine? Help!

Hi,
I have been opening the hood and wiping off the engine a couple times, and noticed that there is oil on valve cover? I think, it is the black part on top of the motor that says mini on it, I have also noticed some oily residue on other parts of the motor. Is this bad? What could be causing this? It is a 2007 Justa Mini.

Thanks

There's a breather on the valve cover that goes bad, creates a vacuum leak and pukes oil over the cover. You may start getting error codes if this is the problem. The fix is an expensive new cover.

Is there a way to check and see if it is the PVC valve? I just bought the car and it is still under a short warranty.

Well I was looking at the engine yesterday and pulled the hose on the valve cover that goes to the PVC and I think it was loose. I disconected it while the engine was running and it started to stumble, I reconected it and it seemed to click in better than it was before. I am hoping that this might have been the problem. I do not want to have to replace the valve cover if I do not have to. I can't beleive that there is a part that goes bad molded into the valve cover.
