Taking off the B pillar cover

Planning on taking off rear panel to get the speaker wire to my amp, and to do that you have to take off the b pillar panel, which has an airbag behind it. What precautions to make sure it doesnt go off?

One More Question

one other thing related to the amp-which fuse is good for the remote wire. I want one where it only runs when the engine is on. Would the headlight one be good, or is that too much current (40a)

It has been a while but for the B pillar cover removal you will need to pull out the ambient light cover. Careful pulling out the cover, they need to be pulled out straight. Then there is a screw (T20 I think) behind the cover that needs to be removed. Unplug the battery and you should be fine. The airbag comes from the roof so you should be fine.

I tapped into the voltage of the cigarette for the remote turn on. It only turns on when the car is turned 'On'.

Any clean spot of metal on the car is fine for a ground connection.
