Hello Nam,

Today something started happening that I noticed while the auto transmission is in park. Basically, when in park and i depress the brake pedal, there is a knock/click and vibration in the shifter. So, the scenario is this: While in park, if I put my foot on the brake, I can feel it in the shifter and hear it. I can only get this to happen in park. Any ideas what is happening here?

Remember that there is a shift interlock that's released when you depress the brake pedal to remove the transmission out of park.
Are you sure that's not what you're hearing? Or is it something else?

I think your explanation is spot on. The weird thing was I had not ever noticed it before yesterday.
