Figured out this morning that my little mileage checker lies to me. Mixed spirited driving was indicating 31 mpg and was actually 28 something. Grrr, one of the main reasons I got this was efficiency. So, for all it's advanced tech (DI, VANOS, turbo...), it's much less powerful and 3 mpg better than my 1994 Porsche?

Maybe it needs aligned. 28something seems low for a 2nd gen. Mixed spirited driving with my R53 nets 28-30 and its full of all sorts of outdated technology, especially that roots blower sitting on it.

I get around 30 in normal weather, 28/29 when it gets cold. I don't even look at the estimate on the gages, it is pretty optimistic as well. On my car, the speedo is about 5% fast as well (reads 63 when GPS shows 60). I would think that this makes the computer think that the car is going 5% further than actual, which could affect the mileage.

Nope, the car know exactly how fast and far it's gone. It just lies to you about how fast...

Okay, so far, I have added the BSH catch can and plugs from ECS on the other side.

I'm thinking of getting the DOS seafoam fogger kit. Seems like not good bang for the buck, is it worth it? I think it will still work with my PCV hose delete, can someone confirm?

For a spark plug socket, is it okay to use magnetic? Or maybe I'll just get a fuel hose and use with a regular socket.

I also plasti dipped the front chrome grill surround - looks much better.

I have some wheels and a stud conversion which are not yet installed.

Fuel mileage is still not very impressive. I'm still not in love with it but we will see.

I ordered the DOS Fogger kit last week. They just sold out the same day I ordered it, so it's on back order. Although, I was told that they should have more in by the end of this week. I didn't care how much it cost....the fact that I can sit in my car (especially in 20 deg weather) and attack carbon buildup makes this purchase well worth it :-)
