Does B200 Airbag tool work for R56?
Everywhere it is for sale, the listings say 1993-2003 BMWs. Can anyone confirm / deny whether it will work on an R56 (2007 Copper S)?
I'm dealing with my second airbag light in a few weeks. The first one was cleared by my mechanic. It was related to loss of power while I was replacing the battery. No idea what this one will be, as I've not done anything this time.

Understand mechanic trip is a likely outcome. However my reason for asking was to undertand if there is a way to take care of clearing these codes on my own without the mechanic, especially as it was a benign code last time.
The evidence suggests that the B200 doesn't work for R56. If you Google for B200 airbag reset, you'll see lots of references to R50-R53-R52, but not a single reference (that I can see by casual glance) to R56. This wouldn't be surprising because the car electronics changed almost 100% with the R56.
