Is it possible to twincharge a r56?

I've seen many posts about twincharging a r53 but seen nothing on the r56. Do you think it's possible to twincharge a r56 and how much do you think it will cost to do. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm new to this.

Anything is possible, that said, here's a few thoughts for you to consider.

Firstly: why would you want to attempt so a challenging idea ? And what is wrong with the engine the way it is ? Utilising a very very responsive twin scroll turbo.

Are you a mechanical engineer with a comprehensive knowledge of Automotive systems ?

Have you an unlimited budget ? Whatever you think it might cost, you should at the very least have twice that amount of money, projects never ever stay within or on budget!

Be prepared to re-calculate, re-engineer and repackage engine components.

Re-calculate and re-engineer the fuel, air, oil and water systems.

Calculate and select the appropriate charger super/turbo, based on your re-calculations.

Purchase the appropriate standalone aftermarket ECU and necessary system control drivers.

Etc etc etc, the list goes on and on, however if you like being an engineering pioneer, then there are a few people who will assist you with your project idea.

Twin charging is usually only done on a turbo to compensate for a large, laggy turbo...since the mini has a fast to spin up turbo, not sure what would be gained by adding the paristic drag and complexity of a sc to the mix.....
You trying to create a car so you can park it and say look what i did at a show and have a garage queen or you trying to make a faster daily driver? If it is the second, there are MANY mods that can be done, and the car would be faster, better, cheaper, more relilable....
twincharging on a gen1 was not for the faint of heart........was found to be more trouble that it was worth....heck the market proved that other mods to make the hp, even a stright turbo or other aftermarket sc was better and more effective!!
But if you have a spare $50,000 a MINI, and want to support you local mini specialist, i am sure one would take your $$$$....no guarentee, no warrenty....anything is possible with enough $$ and time. The $50,000 would be a good first installment on modding a car for a car show that would be a fun, but frustrating trailer queen......
