I've been shopping around for an intake kit for my 2011 mini non-s. I wante to go with a K&N or a DDMWORKS, but unfortunately I don't think either are CARB approved. I was shown a VIP intake, which wasn't that bad, but I want to know all available options to compare pricing etc. I want something CARB approved as I'm from NJ and I don't want to change intakes whenever I need it inspected as I'd rather have the car to sound and perform better all the time.

Thanks, but that is for a MCS, and I have a non-s. I looked around there and didn't see an intake for a non-s.

 

NM is the only one CARB legal right now for the MINI period. They are a California company that wanted their product to be able to be installed in Cali.

 

it only fits the sport, someone showed me a VIP and i think that is CARB exempt (they're based in AZ a CARB state, so I think there products would be CARB approved) There are other intakes just not for the 2011, so its not the only CARB approved intake, unless you mean for 2011 models, then that's just disappointing.

 

Contact VIP than and see if it is CARB.
