belts/chains non-S

I know its here somewhere, but search isn't being friendly

what does the '08 non-s have for belts/chains and when should i change them?

Chain should be fine for well over 100k. Belts if I am not mistaken are between 80 and 100k.

good good, but can you be more specific- what do i have that i need to worry about(non-s)

On an R56 MINI we recommend replacing the drive belt every 50k miles. Otherwise change your oil every 5k miles, and then we also recommend replacing the engine air filter every 30k miles, or use a K&N filter and just clean it. Then replace the A/C microfilter once a year. and replace the spark plugs every 100k on a non S.

gotcha. so i do have a chain for timing, that SHOULD last the life of the car. just the acc belt is all i need to worry about for belts thens.

All of this info is in 100's of threads around here on the forum. So much so that you dont even need to search just look at the first page of the different sections and you will see you answers.
