How to remove '11 MCS antenna base?
Most search results were for R53s, and the R56 results don't seem to make sense for what I have.
The antenna base needs to be removed so that the roof can be repainted and I don't want to leave it up the body shop to figure it out.
Has anyone with an '11+ R56 removed the antenna base? Pulling the boot weather stripping and reaching my hand in between the headliner to unscrew a 22mm nut doesn't work, especially since the stripping is glued (can be lifted slightly, but not removed) and the headliner is glued to a support plate in the center near the rear, putting the antenna out of reach/sight.
The liftgate electrical grommet gives a small window to the electrical connections for the antenna, but I still can't reach them, or see a nut of any type. Is it possible the entire base rotates off (with some force since I've been tweaking it back and forth with some play, but not enough to remove it)?
Thanks for any help.

08(R56) = 19mm
& there are two square holes in roof, (under base):
= just removed the base, as it always seemed a misfit miss-fitting. Didn't like the look of it; {even after color-matching via plastidip).

I managed it awhile back without taking the head liner out. Go through the boot, pull the liner down. I used my iphone on video with a flash light to see what was going on in there before attempting it. Not sure on nut size though,
