Bumper cover removal

For various reasons, I would like to get access to the area in between my grille and the radiator on Fenimore. (A 2012 Justa.) Mister Bentley tells me to drill out the plastic rivets holding the top of the cover on.

Is that really necessary? Can I pry them out without breaking them? Or could I unbolt a crossmember or some such to get access?

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

I pryed them out on mine, broke one of them along the way but the others came out with no issues.

This should give you the idea on how to gain access.

Thanks! It sounds like I may have been misreading Mister Bentley.

Really sure you want to remove the bumper? If you pull the grill and headlights you can access almost anything up front.

Don't you have to pull the cover to remove the grill?

Absolutely not. The link provided by Oreod above tells you how to remove the grill. You can easily remove the grill in 10min without touching the bumper.
