Cooper Hatch Bra?

I'm looking to buy a bra for the winter. I've been told that colgan bra for the 2010 model won't fit a 2012. Is this true? It seems unlikely, but I'm new to the MINI game. Thanks!

Al.

Well if i may make a comment anyway.

Bra's will keep the dings off the front of your car but then from my experience you will have scratched paint where the bra rubs on the paint due to particulates getting underneath it.

Clear Shield material is a much better solution, but is more expensive. But definitely cheaper than having the front end resprayed due to scratching from a bra.

Also of note is that the paint on the MINI seems to be rather soft and scratch much easier than other cars i have owned.

How do you deal with a clear bra with bonnet stripes? Would it be better to have the whole hood done to avoid the unsightly line?

There was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago. Good points on both sides.

Stripes over bra:Basically the stripes might be seen to have a line in them where they go over the clear bra then back onto the paint, but are replaceable

Bra over stripes: smooth stripes, typical small nearly invisible clear bra line, but stripes are not really replaceable unless you do the entire bra again...expensive.

Whole hood will cost more but eliminate the need to choose via these options, but still a choice.

I think I'm going to see how much to cover the whole hood and trap the stripes underneath. If I want new ones I can always repurchase and reinstall when the bra needs replacing in 5+ years.
