NICE! To think you didn't need to camp out overnight and nearly freeze to death. Or did you and I miss a deal?

It was definitely a deal. I didn't have to wait in the cold though.

I bought the Mini itself. '08 CPO Chili Red w/white roof. I have to say that Mini is as diabolical as Harley Davidson with ways to empty your wallet on accessories. Car is a kick in the pants to drive, I must say. Love it!

I bought nothing on Black Friday. Though I did take a load of glass to recycling!

I bougt four General Artimax Artic studded tires, size 185 / 60R / 15 from a local small business dealer (support local small businesses when you can). I put them on my existing wheels and will get new spiffy wheels in the spring for my existing tires. Yippee!

I installed a set of spark plugs. Kinda suprised that it made a difference (idles smoother) at 52k miles.

Isn't that tranny fluid the one with the drain plug that says lifetime fluid, don't change?

/me thinks so.

MINI says that it's lifetime but alot of people including me have changed fluid in the aisin trans.i can't really believe any fluid truly a lifetime trans fluid but then again ive seen many cars go a long time with nothing changed.... most vw's with this transmission have a change interval.
plus, to add to that i like to tinker alot on cars thats alot of the reason i do it

Whose lifetime are we talking about
I think BMW likes to fool ya on certain things, change it as a regular maintenance item, 25 - 30k. It's cheap insurance .

It is, but would you want to rely on a "Lifetime" anything??!!

Molly's Tranny Fluid will be getting changed in April '12, she'll be 4 and under 50,000mi. but SA recommended it getting done @ 50K, I take her in for Service every April 19th (Delivery Anniversary) and October 19th that's the reason for it getting done before 50k.

hey don't shoot the messenger! I'm just telling you what it says down there. Most people go Redline MTL IIRC.

I bought about $500 worth of detailing products for under $300 from Autogeek.

Didnt buy it on BF but I did install the JCW Aero Kit and the Helix FMIC on BF. It is amazing how ridiculously easy it is to install these kits, it's a little disgusting that people are being charged 1k to have it done!!!

There was a thread on this on bimmerforums, someone called the manufacture of the fluid and they told the caller that they cannot say it is not supposed to be changed.

When I asked the dealer about it all they could tell me was that it was expensive, like $30 a quart??? I laughed, luckily I have a box of MTL in my garage. I changed mine at 50k. But I get bored and like to hang out in my garage and work on all my cars like you.
