OEM Rally lights on w/o brights?

Greetings, Just picked up my car last night. I had the OEM rally/driving lights installed on the car. Wanted to know if there was a way to turn them on when the brights are NOT on?

THANKS!!!

Congrats on the car!

I believe you need to re-wire it if the factory did them. Also, you can purchase the euro-spec button to activate the lights instead of having them linked to the high-beams.

I don't know about the second-gen cars, but on both of our 2006 MINIs, the rally lights were installed by the dealer, and they wired them incorrectly so that they would come on with either the low beams or high beams. When wired "correctly", the relay that powers the rally lights is only "hot" when the high beams are on. But the relay can easily be modified so that it's powered when the low beams are on as well.

When you say "euro-spec" switch, you mean replace the one on the dash from one from europe? (I assume that EU allows this, where the US is not the same)
