R56 Fuel system clean out

Fuel system clean out
I went to the dealer today for my first free oil change, the service advisor gave me an option of having my fuel system clean, he said it takes about an hour, cleans carbon deposits and such, but costs 210 dollars, not covered, does anyone know what is it about and if its worth doing it there? or is it just a inyector cleaner they put on?

Unless your engine is having serious performance issues, generally not needed (nor would I recommend any "flushing" as they generally power it through and [unintentionally] damage things). Other auto makers do flushes for transmissions, etc and customers almost always have issues afterwards.
With you having a 2011 ... just say no. I wouldn't even think about it until you're over 100k miles.

These French engines are seriously prone to carbon build up issues. So much so that MINI has a machine now which blasts crushed walnuts at the back of the intake valves to clean it off. Time will tell of the 2011' are in the same boat or not.
IMO it would be prudent for R56-S owners to make some sort of carbon cleaning preventative measures as part of it's regular bi-annual maintenance.....
