A little "justa" cooper love

One of my best friends picked up an 07 hardtop with a manual trans 2 days ago, and this has to be the most fun thing ever made by man. Note that this car is NOT an s, but every time we go for a drive were both left with ear-to-ear grins. Who knew 118 horsepower could feel like so much? I was prepared to be very disappointed, but instead I'm left genuinely, utterly impressed. And the icing on the cake with us being college students who do a minimum of 100 miles daily is the 42mpg he's been getting. I absolutely need to grab one of these for myself.

Justa owners, post your stories!

I sold a CBR600 F4 after too many close calls and a few crashes. I was looking for a decent HP ride, test drove a Mustang GT, then tried out a Tiburon and Prelude. Ended up giving a skeptical shot to my current '06 R50. Pleasantly surprised at how much FUN it was to drive.

A few months after buying I wondered if I'd made a mistake by not getting the "S." I did some mild upgrades, a cold air intake, rear sway bar, lighter wheels and good tires, sprint booster. Over that same period I test drove an R56 S, R56 Justa, Clubbie S, and most recently an R53. On paper the S cars are much quicker, but my r50 FEELS quicker, peppier, and more responsive. Now that I've tried out ALL the other options and I know I have the most fun in my first gen justa, I know I made the right choice for me. Love the car, and ready to continue building it up. Exhaust is sitting in the hall, then headers, brake and suspension upgrades are in the future.

An S will smoke a Base in a straight line, but the base is a very competent ride in the twisties when driven the right way.
