Intercooler whining sound

So I am not mechanically inclined but when I turn my Mini off, there is a high pitched whining sound coming from the intercooler. At least from that general area. Is this normal? At first, the fan stayed on for about a minute after I turn it off but after searching on these forums, I found out it's normal. This whining stays on longer than the fan did (it no longer stays on) and it isn't too loud but you can hear it when standing next to it. Anyway, I hope I explained it well enough for you guys to understand.

That is the coolant pump circulating coolant or oil (depends on who you talk to) through the turbo.

Hate to be number 3, but they are correct it's the aux water pump running, not a problem perfectly normal.
