R56 My Mini is totaled. RIP
Ouch, that brings back memories of my accident. These cars do a really good job at protecting you in a crash. As I mentioned before I am glad your wife is ok and was able to walk away from that.
+1
That MINI took quite a hit. Glad that our wife is OK.
As soon as I saw the pic, I thought - it would be a shame to see those web spokes just disappear somewhere. Would make a great extra set of wheels for the winter. Bet you could never just yank 'em off once it's on the truck.

Echoing Albiecrazy, are you going to try and salvage any parts from your MINI? Those are very cool wheels, and who knows what else can be re-used.
Grisly photo, by the way. I'd have been heartbroken! And again, it's great to know your wife walked away from it.

Sorry to hear about your MINI, but glad it did it's job. My '06 (El Kabong) was totaled in January and the EMTs were so impressed with the MINI that I saw one of them at the wrecker yard taking pics the following day. My daughter and I, plus 2 dogs also walked away. There was no doubt in our minds that another MINI was our only choice.
Spice Orange is an awesome color and was one of my final three colors when I ordered my new MINI.
If yours was a manual, I think you'll really like the new clutch.

Initially they have shot down the "owner retained" that I was looking for, which would allow me to just buy the Mini from them.
I may have to go the route of an independent broker in Ct. to purchase the car for me at salvage auction. Not sure If I want to go this route.
The pieces of the car I actually wanted are the interior, Redwood leather lounge seats and trim. Mini no longer offers this interior, and it is a very nice look.
That left front wheel took a shot from the jeep. You can't really see it in that photo, but the bolts around the rim are filled with red paint where the other vehicles paint color made contact with it. It also appears that the engine and transmission got pushed to the passenger side and forced in against the firewall on the drivers side. It's basically sitting crooked in the engine compartment. The entire top of the front left strut mount is completely torn away also.
A new Mini is on order though, and should be here in July. It will be a Cooper S, White silver body, white top and bonnet stripes, green lounge leather interior, Sports package with additional sports suspension and the same wheels, front and rear fogs, white xenons, convenience package, HK sound system, anthracite headliner.
I'm hoping it's a nice clean look, and very, very thankful that I could "argue" with my wife over the choices.
