No no no....Not a fan of the recently discontinued factory aero kit. I was referring to the JCW aero kit.

 

When the brake ducts are blacked out or not in contrasting color they're subtle and ok to my eyes but when they're contrasting like the top pic vs the bottom pic I don't like em, they have changed the design of the ducts so they definitely stick out

I don't like it either. For one thing, I had the clear bra installed and due to the "nooks and crannies", not all of the surfaces can be covered as on the previous design so a stone could chip that area. Also, I don't like the tiny pock-marks to indicate where to drill for the license tag holder. Why don't they just eliminate those?

 

Jumping in on the zombie thread, I'd like to add that I dislike the 2011 front bumper so much (on my non-S, but don't like the S bumpers either) I've purchased a 2010 S bumper to swap it with... Just need to get the proper carrier and paint it to match. My former 2010 non-S had a MUCH better looking front end.

Went with the 2010 S bumper (vs. 2010 non-S) just because it should allow me the use of a JCW aero or 2011+ S upper grille, since no non-slat replacements are available for a 2011+ non-S.

 

Can the lower grille from a 11+ go into a 7-10 bumper?

 

As long as the brake-ducts are blackened, they're alright.

What about the rear bumper? Now with the chrome / black surrounds for the fogs, it looks more complete IMO.

 

I really like the 'new' MCS bumper, more so then the previous designs.

Even though I still like the JCW ducts I wish they were a bit more pronounced like the MCS.

Regardless, I think it gives the mini a more aggressive look and not the 'moms commuter' look as it had before.
