Farewell My MINI

I had to part ways with my 2010 MCS Camden last week.

After struggling with a left knee issue for a while, I decided the added stress of the manual transmission/clutch was not helping the situation. The second factor was how uncomfortable the seats were. Between my knee and my back, the MINI had to go.

Sad to part with the MINI. I really enjoyed driving it. Hopefully the new owner enjoys it and takes care of it.

I ended up with a 2011 328i coupe... auto transmission of course. My left knee and my back are happy now.

Wishing everyone all the best with their MINIs!

Best of luck! I hear/feel your pain with the seats. I don't understand how BMW has such great sport seats on their cars, and such lousy ones in the MINI.

I have no complaints about my Redwood Lounge leather. Not bad IMO. But I came from about 10 years of Jeep Wrangler ownership.

I second that. The sport package was a requirement on the new BMW. Once you've experienced the BMW sport seats, it's tough to accept anything less. Everyone's anatomy is different, and that's why the BMW sport seats are great - you can adjust them almost every which way to make them comfortable for you.

Yup. The MINI seats aren't bad, but for me, the killer is the short lower cushion. The BMW sports seats have the adjustable bolster on the front of the seat that does wonders on long drives. Wish they would put that on the MINI.
