Same problem here. Really annoying. I'll wash it at a coin operated place and do the sealant/wax at home. Problem is the neighbors still think I just washed it in the garage and give me the look of death.

Nothing beats a good sunny day, a big tree where there is shade and time to relax and meditate while shining your mini up!

Yeah, this is a reason I avoid any pressure wash places. I don't even like taking my car to the ones where they run it through on the track and hand dry it. But, alas, I am lazy. And, especially in the colder months, I really don't want to deal with it sometimes. I am so glad it is starting to get warmer now! And I really need to order some Black Wow... the last fools that washed my car dripped tire cleaner on my trim and now it is all spotty. I also watched them wipe my wheels (pre tire cleaner) and then use the same towel on my paint. /cringe

Especially avoid the places that use pressure to wash your car if you have vinyl stripes...

I use a no touch once a week with no issues, as long as there is distance between the nozzle and your paint your ok, also as long as psi numbers are not set to a high number. Usually there will be a tag as you enter giving you the numbers.

The rain is getting pretty bad in Los Angeles (pretty weird for us, we used to have the perfect weather!). I called the dealership and the new hood scoop is not going to be ready till Monday (they had to paint it). Would it still be okay to drive the MINI scoopless while raining?
