I don't know where to look for the answer.

Also, is it true that your lst free oil, lube, and filter change is one year after you own your car even if I don't hit 9000k?
What else do they do for lst year, 2nd and 3rd?

It seems to vary from dealer to dealer ...I live near San Francsico and they implied that since my car didn't hit the number of miles needed for an oil change (at it's 1year anniversary) that I need not bring it in. Yet I called another dealer in another city nearby and they said they'd do the complimentary oil chance and new filter. They wanted to keep the car overnight though since they were so busy. All in all it seemed like a huge hassle so for $45 I ordered some MINI oil and new filter online and did the change myself ...was super easy and quick. I like doing most work on my own cars myself though as I don't usually trust most mechanics and service technicians to be as careful as I am w/ my cars.

for my 2nd year anniversay (which is coming up in 2 months) I plan on bringing it in ..I think in addition to oil and filter they flush the brake fluid? -yet I have to check it out. (Yet I am pretty sure they charge you for anything over oil change and filter).

To find out what services they do, go to the MINI usa website ...I think you go to the Owners Lounge and from their you can set up an appointment and find out what they do for your service at 1yr.

The second year you'll get the scheduled maintenance at no charge - oil change, brake fluid flush, scope (hook up to the computer and look for faults), wipers replaced, brakes if you need them. Check your manual for what is required.

All you'll get at 1yr is an oil change (like I did). You should get the works (see above) at 2 yrs.

The Basics are written on the MINI USA site here: http://www.miniusa.com/faq.jsp?categ.../maintenance-m

Also RTFM - I.E. read the Service Booklet (manual) it explains everything that is covered and how it is covered. If you did not get one go back to the dealer and insist that they give you one. This is your written warranty and service agreement, they are required to give you this by law. These do vary slightly by year so one for a 2008 will be different than a 2010, I.E. it seems that they have dropped the one year offer on the oil change and only go by mileage now not mileage or one year which every comes first.
