I'm up here in Robbinsville NC at the MOTD event. I just drove the Dragon (well, as far as the Dragon goes nowadays that is).

We left Daytona at 4:30 am Wednesday, got here about 4:00 pm. The little car averaged about 35 mpg getting here.

We checked in, met a whole bunch of great people, drove some incredible mountain roads, looked at some wildly modified cars, then drove the Dragon.

I have read all the stuff about reliability and such, and no doubt, there are things that could be better.

But I've never had a little car that I loved as much as this one (and I've had things from MGs to Lotuses to Miatas to Mercedes). Simply put, this is my favorite after almost 50 years of owning and driving cars.

It just does everything that I expect it to, and it makes me feel great about it.

I have a million things that I'm looking at to try to make it better. I'll probably actually do two or three of them. But its like my wife. I simply can't imagine a car that I could love more.

And it averaged 36.4 mpg on the Dragon. And it kept a guy on a super duper sport bike in sight for almost a full two turns on the Dragon (of course that's only about 100 yards, but.....).

Unbelievable.

This car makes life good.

It's certainly my favorite car of the 30 or so I've owned, just wish I was younger so I would have more years to enjoy it.
