So, I have several questions...

First, has anyone had these experiences and have anything to tell about their experiences? I did some searching, but did not find too much on either subject.

Secondly, how difficult is it to make these repairs yourself? I believe that cracked engine mount is the lowest one. The valve cover just started leaking. Anyone know where to get a good engine diagram/schematic?

Third, how much should it cost for someone else to repair? I understand that it is about $80 in parts, but the dealership is extremely expensive on labor.

Fourth, does anyone know of a reputable shop in the Irvine, CA area? Preliminary searches have yielded some general European car repair shops, nothing really MINI specific.

Thanks for the tip on the OEM parts website! I got the valve cover gasket done at the dealer for $300...

I will try the engine mount issue at a shop I discovered that seems to get pretty good reviews in HB...
