Mini....lauren...?????

Hi everyone
my MA called me today and i got really excited cause i thought he was going to tell me that my mini was ready for me but... No. He started with "we have a problem with your mini" :@ he told me that my mini wasnt in the ship that they told him it was and that they sent another one just like mine which he wants me to see cause he says the only difference is the wheels (rims? I dont know how they're called) and NO sunroof (i cant be without a sunroof) and he told it's a very unique mini called mini lauren (he said it is a spEcial edtion but i never heard of it )
so... Has anyone heard of it ? If so, whats so special about it ?
Ill go tomorrow to see it but i'm pretty sure i wont want it but who know...
Thanks for reading and a little secret for you all... I want to cry :(

Ask for a discount and use some of that money to buy a hacksaw and make your own sunroof.

Just kidding about the sunroof

See what kind of deal they'll offer. I've never heard of the 'Lauren'

He probably meant "Camden"
regardless, wait for the one you built, there's a big difference without a sunroof, IMHO, in case you've ever driven both.

This one?

Or, Loren Conrad?

Ralph Loren?

I want a Lothlorien MINI.

There is a Camden MINI, a Mayfair MINI, and a Goodwood MINI. Never heard of a Lauren.

Make sure you want the MINI's sunroof. It can cook you in some climates. The screen isn't adequate. You are more likely to get rattles, and mechanical problems with it. Adds weight to the highest point in the car to increase body roll when cornering... There have been a lot of threads about the pros and cons of the MINI sunroof. Do the research and make sure it is what you want.

The factory wheels aren't worth keeping anyway. Too heavy. Get a good discount and buy light-weight aftermarket wheels.

It's bad enough having all those A and B pillars around you. No sunroof, NO WAY.

What they said...but if I were you I'd be crying right about now...go ahead...it's OK!!

You've been either mis-led or "taken to the Cleaners" as it were...Demand what ever you want from your MA...and then if they don't deliver...WALK!!

Don't accept something that you did not order!! Find out what the actual reason is/was for your MINI not being delivered as/when expected?!!

If you want the sunroof, get the sunroof. You should definitely get what you ordered, no discount amount will make up for a sunroof.

You should get you the car you ordered. Don't let them try to put you in a different car. That MINI was built just for you....

my MA told me it should be here in january, though he didn't tell me an specific day (maybe he didn't want to promise me a date, again) and well... i'll get back at you all with what i hope, wil be good news =)

Get the sun roof, it is worth it to wait. Plus dont you want your personalized MINI you ordered. Technically, with different wheels and NO sun roof, it is not even close to the same. BTW, no sunroof MINI's are VERY hard to sell!

If the car "wasn't on the ship" it sounds like the dealer drooped the ball and never ordered the car. There is no way it was built and got lost on the way to the port (or fell or was stolen off the ship) without a detailed and plausible explanation. Not only should you get the car you ordered but your dealer should compensate you in some way for their mistake. I would also highly consider buying from another dealer.

that's what i thought also... that since he promised me I would have it by the 28th and then saw that it wasn't on the ship, he made me believe that it was and theeen tell me that it wasnt... hahaha i don't think i made myself clear... the thing is I think he lied.

There's only one MINI in my state, the closest one is like 5 hours from here, and I considered that option, but my brother told me that one of his teachers is the director of the BMW group or something and that he will talk to him and try to get a discount or something real nice for my MINI

hope you're all having a great start of this year =)
