brake pad sensor

I just changed my front and rear pads
i hate those broken sensores for pad wear
so I spliced the wires together

now the abs light and and a couple of other warning lights are on.....

thoughts

please help

Thoughts? You did it wrong. You should have replaced the broken sensors with new unbroken ones. The computer doesn't like the wires spliced together. Or something just needs to be reset. Or you broke something else.

yep I think i did something wrong....
so
I will buy new sensors and installthem

I couldnt have damaged anything else
i tested what I was doing

when i snipped off the damaged sensors brake pad light remained on
when I wired them together allhellbroke loose onn the dummy lights
I will sepearate wires to see if I can tract a step back

and then order new sensors

any other ideas?

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Press the brake once and let it sit for an hour. Follow the brake pad service light reset procedure. Done.

I hope you did not mistake the blue sensor connector (ABS Sensor) for the black/white (Brake Sensor) connector? I made that mistake and my ABS lights also came on.
