R56 Getting a 2009 now. Am I nut?
Dear all,
Four months ago, I post my message as below if you have time to take a look, but I decided to get Cooper S instead Cooper:

After 2 months of searching, I decided to put in an order in July for 2009. My Cooper S is on its way. Now I sit back and think if am I make a wrong choice? Can someone say something to make me feel better? :(
The reason I ordered 2009 because I wasn't sure if I can wait until December or January to get 2010. The second reason because saleman didn't know the new price for 2010 would increase or not.
Now knowing everyone is getting 2010, while I get 2009 just a couple months before they do. Did I make a very very bad choice? I put in an order, that's mean I didn't get a discount for my 2009 or anything like that.
What do you think?

ABSOLUTELY NOT.... you made a FANTASTIC choice. 2009 or 2010, it doesn't matter. I bought a 2009 (albeit a JCW) off the lot. I was impatient and couldn't wait for an order.
I don't care what year mini you buy, when you get your new car, you remember that I said this... "you won't be able to wipe off the s*** eating grin off your face"

Relax and enjoy your MINI when it arrives. There will be minimal difference in resale. I picked up my '09 MCS Convertible in June and now, 3 months later, it is "last year's model". Who cares? There will always be a newer model and there areminimal differences between 2009 and 2010. Happy (future) Motoring
