program new remote for comfort access

Just got a used 07 MCS. It had one key fob only. I ordered and got a new one. It works fine when I press the buttons to open doors and everything and when I put it in the ignition. But comfort access does not work. I have to use the fob to open the door and put it in the ignition to start the car. Not the way it is designed. Anyone know if I need to program it? It came from MINI this way.

Also, anyway to program it so that when I get out, everything unlocks, including the hatchback? When I get out, I have to do the double pull on the inside latch, but the hatch is still locked, which means I have to then open it with the fob before taking something out and then locking it again.

Thanks.
